The Ark Retreat House is the creation of friends inspired to dedicate a beautiful, newly renovated home on Bowen Island to contemplative and earth-based education and retreat programs for the benefit of the planet and all of life. The house is located at the end of a one of Bowen Island’s last remaining dirt roads, which ends at a precipice overlooking Killarney Lake and Crippen Park. Our location makes this property and ideal retreat space as it borders hundreds of acres of old growth forest and trail networks that criss cross the island. The elevation of the home invites lots of natural light, expansive views across a vast canopy of trees and mountains, all of which get bathed in mists rising from the mountain and spring fed lake.
